Ren Xue Australasia (RXAA) has purchased a 180 hectare farm in Golden Bay, Aotearoa (New Zealand).
It is a beautiful coastal location with the Onekaka estuary on one side and the Kahurangi National park on the other. It truly connects mountains to the sea. We feel honoured to be kaitiaki (stewards) of this place which becomes official in June 2022.
Steve Lee is our Farm Manager who will relocate to Golden Bay on the 1st June with his partner and Ren Xue teacher Jackie Blunt. Working with Steve are the Farm Working Group who, together are planning for the future of the land and the Ren Xue Farm.

Our Farm Manager Steve Lee gives us an up close introduction to the soil and it's wriggly residents |
As part of the changes we will be bringing to the farm, we will be undertaking regular research on many different elements of the farm - soil, water, landscape, and climate to name a few. We have begun to form a working research relationship with Lincoln University, which started with some soil sampling work on 24 April 2022. More details to come on this aspect of the farm operations as our plans develop.
Lincoln University student Lulu Jordan describes the soil sampling work in the video below
