A big part of our resource consent application is Community Dwellings - both on coastal land adjacent to the proposed Retreat Centre site, and on the farm itself. See below for images taken from our plans.
The farm dwellings are principally planned as farm workers accommodation - our plans for the farm are big, and diverse! We hope to develop a Ren Xue farm when encompasses many diverse land-based businesses, providing employment/job opportunities for many more people than the current farm does. The image above shows the "horseshoe area", located immediately behind the existing farmhouse. This area has a great outlook, is relatively sheltered, and has a feeling of being amongst the bush and close to the mountains of Kahurangi National Park immediately to the south.
This plan provides for 3 small self contained dwellings (80m2 + attached garage), and 6 smaller units (36m2 each) located adjacent to a communal services building. Plans for these buildings are all very minimal at this stage, with further refinement of layout and building dimensions to be done when we launch into the building consent process. We're all looking forward to this stage very much!

Out on the coastal land adjacent to the proposed Retreat Centre site, there is potential for 2 more dwellings. This land is owned by the Alker family where they live with Marie-Laure and Vincent - 2 Ren Xue teachers. The images below show both the architectural and landscape plans for this area.
