I live in Pakawau-Mohua, Golden Bay and I am very grateful to call this beautiful part of the world home.
As of January 2024, I am the Aotearoa Retreat Centre Manager. I am busy learning about this truly exciting project and the world of REN XUE.
I have spent the last 16 years working for Local Government in Te Tau Ihu for Marlborough District Council and Nelson City Council. In both roles, I was managing the Parks and Reserves. This gave me the privilege of working with the community via projects that enabled recreation and environmental enhancement on Council Community-owned land.
My love for Parks and Open Space was enhanced through completing a Parks and Recreation Management Degree (Lincoln University). My love for working with the community was strengthened when I completed a Graduate Diploma in Not for Profit Management. Much of my work has been project-based working with the community to develop and manage community assets which ranged from Playgrounds, Mountain Bike Parks and Community Centres. I see the role of Aotearoa Retreat Centre Manager as a wonderful opportunity to utilise my skills and ensure I continue to grow as a Parks and Recreation practitioner and personally as I incorporate a REN XUE way into the project.
Living in Golden Bay allows me the opportunity to do all the things I love like; mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, swimming and actively appreciating nature and all its wonders.
